In the inner part of the hydraulic cylinder, a high honing degree is indispensable for a perfect abrasion-free sliding, in order to extend its service life, to limit its maintenance and to allow a general saving to users.
For this reason, OMV has notably invested in the honing department, whose machinery allow drastically reducing roughness, conferring a high precision and finishing degree to the inner cylinder body. The department is equipped with two cutting-edge honing machines.
